Walking through the gates of Ikoyi Correctional Center felt like stepping into another world. A world filled with men carrying broken dreams, some holding on to faint hope, others masking their pain with laughter.
On the field, a group played football, yet behind the game, you could sense the weight of freedom lost. Young, middle-aged, and old, they all shared the same longing. Some voiced it openly, asking for help. Others kept silent, but their eyes never left us, as if our presence alone brought a spark from the outside world into theirs.
When we sat with them, something changed in the atmosphere. A simple smile, and the good news we shared with them carried spirit and life. Right before our eyes hope came alive, healing flowed through the atmosphere like a river that could not be stopped.
As we stepped out, voices of their gratitude echoed through the air. It was a moment we will never forget. Truly, light shines the brightest in the darkest places.
Lives were touched, body pains healed, suicidal thoughts lifted, hope restored, and hearts ignited to believe and dream again.
This wouldn’t have been possible without your prayers, support, and generosity. Thank you for being a part of what God is doing.
We return all the glory to God for the success of this outreach.
