On the 8th of September, 2024, something powerful unfolded behind the walls of Lamingo Prison, along Jos University Teaching Hospital Road in Plateau State. As part of the 4th Edition of our outreach themed “Redemption,” The Menorah City Initiative (TMC), formerly known as the Foundation of Light Outreach (FOLO), stepped into a space where hope often feels forgotten, bringing light, love, and the message of Jesus to inmates who desperately need it.
We firmly believe that no life is beyond redemption. Everyone, regardless of their past, deserves a second chance. Through biblical teaching, heartfelt prayers, and essential resources, we shared not just words but tangible hope. Our goal was to create a space where forgiveness is real, healing is possible, and transformation begins from the inside out.
By God’s grace, twelve (12) souls responded to the call of salvation, choosing to follow Christ and begin a new chapter in their lives. Beyond the spiritual impact, we were also able to meet their physical needs. Thanks to the incredible support of our partners and sponsors, we gifted the inmates:
- 30 Bibles
- 1 pack of tissue
- 4 packs of soap
- 2 packs of toothbrushes
- 4 packs of toothpaste
- 1 carton of detergent
- 30 bathing sponges
These items may seem simple, but to those who received them, they were tokens of love and dignity proof that they are not forgotten.
To everyone who prayed, gave, or showed up, thank you. Your kindness is rewriting stories and rebuilding lives. Together, we are restoring hope, one heart at a time.
